Changelog

What's new

Everything we ship in Motiongist, dated, newest first.

  1. Studio

Review the storyboard before you render

A new, optional “Scenes” step shows the whole video scene by scene before you spend a credit.

    • The engine writes the storyboard for free in about a minute: each scene’s narration line and what appears on screen.
    • Edit any line or visual, reorder scenes, add or remove them. The render follows your storyboard exactly, at the quoted price.
    • After a render, the storyboard comes from the video: untouched scenes keep their visuals, and only the scenes you edit are rebuilt.
    • AI agents get the same step over MCP, to review the scenes before asking you to approve the price.

  2. Languages

Motiongist in English and French, priced in USD or EUR

The site and the studio now speak English by default, with a full French version under /fr.

    • Switch language from the header, the footer or your settings; e-mails follow your account language.
    • The narration language is chosen per video (English or French), independently of the interface.
    • Prices in US dollars or euros: EU and Swiss visitors see euros by default, and you can switch on the pricing table.
    • Your workspace currency is set at sign-up and can be changed until your first payment.

  3. Series

Series: one document, a whole run of shorts

On the Team plan, turn a course, a webinar or a long document into a series of episodes.

    • Drop the document: Motiongist splits it into coherent episodes.
    • Each episode becomes its own project, which you review before rendering.
    • Same look and voice across the series, so the episodes feel like one show.

  4. AI agents

An MCP server for your AI agents

Claude, Cursor and any MCP client can now write a script, start a render and fetch the finished video.

    • Connect with a browser sign-in (OAuth) or an MCP key.
    • The agent asks for an estimate, shows you the price, and can only start the render once you approve that signed quote.
    • Included in the Studio and Team plans.

  5. API

    REST API and webhooks

Create videos from your own code, with the same rules as the studio.

    • API keys, idempotency keys and rate limits, documented in an OpenAPI spec.
    • Estimate first, then generate with the signed quote: a render never costs more than quoted.
    • Signed webhooks tell your server when a video is ready or a render failed (and was refunded).
